VaporMax variants are flying in thick and fast. The laceless SE off-shoot has finally hit stores, and both strapped and mid-cut instalments are scheduled to release by early 2018. We can even expect a TN-VaporMax hybrid to arrive sometime in the near(ish) future! Before we start looking too far down the track, however, Nike have one more spin-off in store for 2017: the VaporMax Mesh.
The new design does away with the runner's signature Flyknit upper, replacing it – as the name suggests – with a mesh base reinforced by synthetic overlays. The result is a vastly different sneaker from midsole up – and it comes with a more wallet-friendly price tag. It's unknown how the comfort compares to the original design, but its hard to imagine anything less than the best with those big bubbles beneath your feet.
Two colourways have been revealed, with a blue/black combination joining the previously previewed 'Triple Black.' Both feature splattered midsections reminiscent of Agassi's Air Tech Challenge designs from the late 80s and early 90s.
The Nike Air VaporMax Mesh will debut through select Swoosh stockists on November 2.
