Sustainable fashion is all the rage these days, and rightfully so. Few brands, however, have gone as far as Reformation. The womenswear label doesn't just produce sustainable products: it's 100 per cent carbon-, water-, and waste-neutral.
That's what makes Reformation's newly unveiled collaboration with New Balance such a treat. Featuring a trio of X-90 colourways along with special editions of the 997S and 574, the colab is highlighted by the likes of post-consumer recycled polyester, chrome-free tanning, and bloom algae inserts. The result is a colab – Reformation's first in the realm of footwear – that fits in perfectly with the brand's defining ethos.
'The industry is in need of some serious systemic change and we want to be a part of solutions to clean up the industry, whether that’s helping to develop new closed-loop fibers, ensuring living wages for our factory workers or innovating more-efficient dye practices,' explained Reformation founder and CEO Yael Aflalo to WWD.
All five pairs will be available via Reformation on Thursday, October 10.
