You'd be forgiven for thinking that PUMA have read too much from the book of YEEZY, but the Thunder Spectra is far from a Wave Runner with a Formstripe slapped on the side.
The brand's newest shoe pays tribute to their collaboration with Alexander McQueen, and looking back, its inspiration is clear. Sporting clashing mesh and nubuck panels and a colour-blocked midsole, the Thunder Spectra clearly takes design cues from the McQueen Tech Runner that released a few years ago.
Seeing the silhouette’s chunky heritage, it seems that PUMA saw what we couldn’t, and recognised the appeal of the ‘dad shoe’ while we were still thinking it was a pejorative best left with Jerry Seinfeld in the 90s.
These have no drop date yet, but we will keep you posted.
