While adidas and Nike battled it out over who devised the knitted running shoe last year, Puma was secretly brewing up new running technology of their own, and the result is about to hit shoe stores around the world. It's called the Bioweb Elite, and it takes its inspiration from spider webs. The upper exoskeletal 'WebCage' is said to provide flexible support thanks to lightweight and durable materials, while the 'WebTech' heel wrap holds everything in place and is still super cushy. The Puma Bioweb Elite launches this Wednesday January 16 – keep Sneaker Freaker close for more details and new colourway releases. Pics via Puma and Hypebeast.
