Once again, PSNY take us back to school to relearn everything we've come to take for granted about classic Nike models. Our classes began earlier this year when the New York label revamped the Air Jordan 15 – a silhouette often derided as one of the 'uglier' Jordan models – and transformed it into a NYFW hit.
Now, Public School New York is back for another semester, this time examining the Air Force 1 High's anatomy. The collaborative make-up debuted at ComplexCon this past weekend. In a big departure from the OG, the AF-1's signature cross strap has been flipped vertically down the back of the heel.
Oversized stitching and loose, unfixed eyestays fit this AF-1 neatly into the current trend of deconstructed kicks. Right now, the PSNY x Air Force 1 High is a 'Friends and Family' exclusive, but we'll let you know if it ever trickles down to retail.
