Pepsi and New Balance have whipped up a new colab – a 574 pack that honours the achievements of Major League Baseball player Francisco Lindor. After playing for the Cleveland Indians in their sixth World Series appearance, Lindor went on to win both the Gold and Platinum Glove Awards for defensive playing. While those acknowledgements cement his name as one to watch out for on the field, this new NB make-up gives sneakerheads a whole new reason to look him up.
Comprised of two sneakers, this pack sees premium suede and Horween leather applied in the colours of the Cleveland Indians – one is decked out in navy and the other in grey. Accompanying the release is some special packaging that will have any baseball fan fizzing. A wooden home plate has been fashioned into housing, a Pepsi bottle has been dipped in 18-karat gold and a limited edition Rawlings glove has been made – although, as you’d understand, the set is too bespoke for regular sale and will not hit retailers.
Still, you’ll be able to get the Pepsi x New Balance 574 Francisco Lindor pack from Xhibition on June 8.
