UPDATE: We’ve received a closer look at the Parley x adidas UltraBOOST Uncaged. The first of the ongoing collaboration to go into mass-production will release on November 16 via select adidas stockists.
If there’s one idea we don’t mind adidas recycling, it’s their ongoing collaboration with Parley for the Oceans, a group focussed on cleansing the oceans of anything that could be harmful to its ecosystems. They’ve worked with adidas before on the 3D printed Futurecraft material, netted an Ultra Boost in recycled fishing line and now they’ve tackled adidas' newest Boost runner – the UltraBOOST Uncaged.
This time Parley have used the same plastic woven with Tailored Fibre Technology they’re becoming known for, although less liberally. The ocean-friendly material sticks to the rear of the Uncaged, lining the TPU heel counter, while the only other hint of a colab shows on the branded heel tab. The rest of the upper refrains from colour and the Boost sole is an ocean foam off-white.
The Parley x adidas UltraBOOST Uncaged hasn’t been given a release date just yet, but we’ll let you know when more info surfaces.
