Ever since its 20th anniversary late last year, 1998's has been one of 's heaviest hitters — providing the canvas for colabs alongside the likes of and . Now you can add one more collaborative partner to that list: Berlin's .

Dubbed the 'Radiant Venom', Overkill's take on the retro runner brings it back to the turn of the new millennium and imagines a Y2K crash that actually ended up happening:

'The Y2K crash actually happened. A computer failure on New Year's Eve 1999 led to launching all nuclear missiles on the planet. Mankind woke up the next day in the year 19100. Only few have survived. The simulation of nature had developed, technology has not. Our story plays in what used to be Berlin, a few years after the nuclear big bang.'

The resulting kicks are imagined as 'a contaminated beast' and one that puts a nuclear-inspired spin on the OG colour palette. The radioactive design goes heavy on the neon yellow and pairs it with a grey and white base, blue accents, and Overkill branding on both the tongue and lateral side of the upper.

The CELL Venom 'Radiant Venom' drops March 29.
