What can be gleaned from this mini set of images is indeed how tall the tongue is on these AJ1s, extending well above the ankle collar. It appears the ankle strap’s belt-like hardware is fully functional, inviting quite a degree of personalisation. Cinched up tight, this could be the closest that an Air Jordan 1 has ever  fitted like a boot.
