Today Nike officially unveil their latest signature sneaker for Oklahoma Thunder's 'baddest' Kevin Durant. Nike designer Leo Chang took on the challenge of updating the popular KD6 performance shoe, working on the project for eight months the concept was all about quickness and forefoot flexibility.
“It’s been a great journey with Nike and I’m confident giving Leo specific feedback on what I’m looking for in a shoe,” said Durant. “For the KD7, I really wanted a shoe that allowed me to move quickly, while having great support and stability. I also wanted to bring back the strap.”
The strap is back alright, coupled with Dynamic Flywire technology to make a supremely snug midfoot lockdown situation, whilst the Zoom Air exposed cushioning sits prize up back. Hyperposite tech comes into the mix too, creating a sculpted heel form for fit. As for the signature release colourway, KD's childhood obsession with meteorology comes through once again with lightning said to be the muse behind the cracking bright mango and volt scheme. The shoe also comes riddled with personal messages live and direct from camp KD, read all abut the shoe .
