UPDATE: Let's get down to brass tacks – although, unlike traditional hiking boots, the Norse Projects x New Balance Ranier Boot is free of hobnails and other such antiquated traction devices. What it has instead is a chunky Vibram sole and an elementally defiant Gore-Tex lining. Take a close up look, as they've just reached the summit of the sneaker world, now available internationally at such stockists as Invincible.
Norse Projects have loaded up the longboats and set sail to spread some Scandinavian sneaker styling. The big New Balance Rainier boot forms the foundation of the collaboration, suitable for the cold Nordic winter or the red dirt of the Australian Outback. The innards have been laced with a Gore-Tex membrane, which will prevent even the least viscous of liquids from seeping in to taint your toes. The laces are locked in with a D-ring system, while the outsole packs a little extra tread so your butt will stay out of the mud.
The Norse Projects x New Balance Rainier pack is available now from Norse Store.
