Kevin Durant’s 11th signature sneaker is just around the corner, but the ‘Slim Reaper’ releases don’t stop there. Harking back to 2012, Nike will drop special throwback KD 4 to coincide with Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
Part of Nike’s ‘Art of a Champion’ collection, which celebrates some of the most legendary plays and players in NBA history, the KD 4 ‘Thunderstruck’ commemorates Durant’s colossal performances during 2012 NBA Finals. Leading the Oklahoma City Thunder ‘Big Three’ against LeBron James’ Miami Heat ‘Big Three’, Durant would cement himself as one of league’s best during the series, despite OKC ultimately failing to secure the championship.
Dressed in the same white and blue colour combo from 2012, the KD 4 ‘Thunderstruck’ comes with a special Larry O’Brien Trophy swing tag and a tribute to Durant’s grandmother Barbara Davis on the outsole.
You can secure your pair on June 7 at Nike.com and select retailers, the morning after Game 3 of the NBA finals.
