We’ve already seen Kawhi Leonard’s celebratory Air Jordan 1 as part of the ‘Art of a Champion’ Collection. Now, we have fresh shots of a red-hot Nike Air Maestro II honouring Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen.
The Air Maestro II ‘Trifecta’ harks back to Pippen’s domination of Game 2 in the 1993 NBA Finals, which propelled the Bulls to their third NBA title in a row. The Bulls vibes are ever-apparent, as vivid red and black provide the foundation for the release. The red/black is backed up with a white Swoosh, and Nike Air branding on the midsole, outsole and heel. As with other ‘Art of a Champion’ releases, a gold Larry O’Brien Trophy hang-tag comes standard.
No official images have come through from Nike, but check out these killer shots from IG sneaker prophet gc911.
You can expect the Nike Air Maestro II ‘Trifecta’ to hit stores May 10 from select Nike retailers.
