UPDATE: Nike are yet to spill the beans on the launch date of the Zoom Flight 96 'Olympic' but it looks like someone has dragged a pair into the studio for an up close and personal photo session – leading us to think that it may not be too far away. Peep the new photos above and keep an eye on End. for the drop.
As the Rio Games inch closer, Nike are bringing back a number of retro basketball silhouettes in OG Olympic colourways. Hot on the heels of faithfully recreated versions of Charles Barkley’s Air Force 180 and Scottie Pippen’s Air More Uptempo, the Swoosh have re-birthed Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway’s Olympic colourway of the Zoom Flight ’96. Penny wore the Zoom Flights as the Dream Team won their second Gold Medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. What we get here is a white leather upper with navy accents, a combo that aligns perfectly with the Team USA kit. The sneaker boasts an icy translucent Zoom sole and gold accents on the tongue and Penny’s Olympic number 6 stitched on each heel.
