Nike have given us a look at the hi-tech toe-ticklers they've shipped over to Moscow for their track and field roster to lace up during this week's IAAF World Championships. Nike athletes are going to be pretty easy to recognise, the Swoosh have decked out all male silhouettes in bright Gamma Blue and female models in popping Pink Foil colourways.
Nike's creative director for running Sean McDowell said the colours were inspired by discussions with the runners themselves. 'When we talk to athletes, we hear from them that bold, vibrant colors make them feel invincible in competition,' he said. 'These insights inspired our choice of Gamma Blue and Pink Foil for this collection.'
The most interesting part of this drop to us mere mortals/armchair athletes is probably the Marathon Pack, which includes some gorgeous renditions of the Nike Lunaracer 3, Flyknit Racer, Zoom Streak 4 and Zoom Streak LT. Will we be ever able to slip on these athletic artifacts though? Time will tell and we'll let you know if Nike hints at a general release. Pics via Nike, INC.
