UPDATE - The Lunar One Shot World Cup edition now has company, coming with both monochrome red and blue additions to go along with the palm tree print. If you're looking for a way to get into the World Cup spirit, grabbing a pair of these from Premier might be the way to go.
The Nike SB Lunar One Shot was launched last year as a new frontier in high tech skate performance shoes, and it was initially delivered in simple colourways that kept the focus on the shoe's organs rather than its skin. Now Nike are ready to get a bit freaky with it, and kick off the fun and games with this new effort that takes inspiration from the upcoming World Cup in Brazil, a country that loves its colourful flora and fauna. The upper is covered in flowers with a black Hyperscreen running around the bottom end for protection to keep your kicks shredding in the long term, and a bright safety orange Swoosh lifts the mood and also gets you heaps visible if you're gliding on the road. I wish I had a pair of these this morning, I was skating to work and crossed a street and this Volvo-driving-soccer-mawm comes straight through and didn't even see me on my law abiding grind. I noticed shawty weren't looking so I called abort and jumped off my wheelie board, sending it straight under her hungry wheels. CRUNCH! Board just bout snapped in half and now I gotta get a hammer, some Paddle Pop sticks and duct tape to get this thing rolling again. It cannot die, it can not. The Nike SB Lunar One Shot 'World Cup' is available now from Flat Spot.
