UPDATE: A flip on a true SB OG, the 'Reverse Shark' takes us back to the birth of Nike's skateboarding division – with a twist. Not only have the colours been switched up for this spiritual tribute to the 2002 original, but it utilises the version 2 Dunk Low silhouette that features a modified outsole and reduced padding – most notably in the tongue. Set to coincide with the line's 15th anniversary, you'll be able to cop your pair on January 26 through Nike.com and select Nike SB stockists worldwide.
Nike hits rewind and takes us back to an era when the SB program was just starting to build momentum. Following a nostalgic collection of box inspired colourways, the Swoosh is paying homage to a treasured relic from the crypt. The ‘Reverse Shark’ Dunk Low takes the composition of the coveted ‘Shark’, released in 2002, and inverts it. What was once red is now blue and vice versa, bar the outsole and tongue. With a skate-ready construction of suede and leather, the colourway tunes into a time where Dunks reigned supreme on and off the board.
The Reverse Shark doesn't have an official release date as yet. Expect them to drop early this year. Stay tuned.
