Nike have been chopping and changing a lot of classic silhouettes lately, and the Huarache has been toyed with more than most. The newest version, the Air Huarache Drift, is about to drop in a colourway inspired by its 90s roots and the much-played ‘South Beach’ colour scheme.
Sporting an icy blue-grey upper, this Drift nods to the decade that brought you the OG neoprene runner, with cyan and watermelon accents on the heel and tongue.
The silhouette keeps all the standout features from the original – the structured toe box, sock-fit and heel strap – but changes out the laces for a rope lacing system complete with removable clasps to customise your look. Not just for laces, these clasps also secure a midfoot strap, so your foot stays extra snug.
Look for these globally on January 25th.
