Nike Release the VaporFly Elite Flyprint 3D Exclusively to Marathon Runners
Pavement pounders across the globe have been hanging out for the release of the since it was teased last year. While a global release date is yet to be revealed, a select few in Japan will be able to cop the cutting-edge runner in early March.
Rolling out via Nike Harajuku, a raffle will give lucky winners a chance to be one of the first in the world to own the 11-gram shoe. There’s a catch, though — entrants will have to prove they’ve run a full marathon (42KMs) in under three hours. Once their running clout is verified, customers will have their names printed on the shoebox and they’ll be able to cop the shoe for ¥75,000 yen (approximately $675).
The next evolution of the , VaporFly Elite Flyprint 3D features a 3D-printed Flyprint upper and new outsole design battle-tested by none other than marathon GOAT . The new upper material is said to improve sweat evaporation and is much lighter compared to traditional Flyknit.
