Nike are making their Air Max line bolder than ever, with more cushion for the pushin'. We got a grainy look at the Air Max 720 in July, but now Nike are weighing in with an official look and bunch of informational titbits.
Among the 720's feats are a 38mm tall Air unit (6mm higher than Nike's previous highest), which gives the ‘most spring’ an Air Max has ever offered and does so by using more than 75 per cent manufacturing waste.
As the first full-length lifestyle-based Air unit, the AM720’s design will also spread throughout Nike’s catalogue in the months to come. It’s already being used for the Jordan Proto-Max 720, and we’re sure it’ll follow in the Air Max 270’s footsteps with a utilitarian build in late 2019.
As for the first 720, Nike haven’t given a release date. However, you can expect it to hit stores on Air Max Day, March 26.
