THE FUTURE IS HERE! The self-lacing iteration of the Nike Mag has finally been revealed and not a minute too late. Despite Nike claiming that the 2011 release of the Mag was never to be repeated, we all knew they couldn't pass up such a timely release. From what this writer can tell (as an owner of the charity release from day dot), the 2015 release appears aesthetically identical to 2011's screen-accurate release, with the exception of the coveted 'power laces'. Internally, the mechanised self-tightening system operates a little different to the on-screen version. Instead of automatically lacing as soon as you slip your foot in, the apparatus is controlled by a trio of buttons to automatically tighten and release, as seen in the video posted to Michael J. Fox Foundation's Twitter page (featured below). To the dismay of many camp-out veterans, Nike has revealed that the 2015 Mag, like the 2011 release before it, will be available through a series of charity auctions kicking off in Spring 2016, with all proceeds going to further support the MJF Foundation. Start saving those pennies fam, because these aren't going to come cheap. Stay tuned for more info, we're about to see some serious shit!
