Supremely comfortable and lithely contoured, the LunarEpic Flyknit is a marvel of modern running. The vanishing fit of the Flyknit upper continues an idea introduced by luminary Nike coach Bill Bowerman that insisted on shoes being an extension of the foot, and the midsole sports the most advanced tech possible without being part of the Breaking2 project. Using dual-injection techniques, Nike were able to build a Lunarlon sole using heat rather than glue to fuse foam together. They’ve then laser-siped the material into pistons that provide cushioning in vital areas.
With all crafty Nike break-throughs, the abundance of tech has also beget a make-up with lifestyle potential – especially with tasty ‘Oreo’ colourways like this. The famed colourway plays out over the Flyknit with light and dark shades met with a deep black Swoosh, and a smooth white midsole.
The Nike LunarEpic Flyknit in Oreo doesn’t have an official release date just yet, but we’ll let you know when it shows up on NDC.
