Kobe Bryant's NBA career may officially be in the can, but Nike aren't finished with the farewell celebrations just yet. Shining a light on the footwear maestros that shaped Kobe's footwear legacy, the Swoosh bring us the second instalment in the Kobe 11 'Muse Pack' with a make-up created by Tinker Hatfield. Unlike Eric Avar, Tinker's influence on the Kobe line was a little indirect. Like most of us older 'heads, Kobe grew up begging his parents for Tinker's legendary Air Jordan designs, with none more coveted than the Air Jordan 3. Channeling this love, Tinker has hit the Kobe 11 with the most recognisable of all AJ3 colourways, 'Black Cement'. The details run deeper than just a mere colour change-up though, with pinprick perforation on the lower-tongue, bold red embroidered Mamba logo on the tongue and the classic Nike logo stitched on the sharkskin-inspired heel counter. Why sharkskin? Because both Tinker and Kobe like shoes - 'nuff said.
Tinker's rendition of the Kobe 11 will be available in limited quantities from May 5 at Nike.com and select global retailers.
