He's lighting quick, sharper than a knifepoint, and one of our favourite ballers gracing the courts this season. Kyrie Irving has been deserving of his own signature sneaker from the minute he stepped into the NBA in our opinion, and finally, that day is upon us – welcome the Kyrie 1.

Designed by Nike heavy hitter Leo Chang, the Kyrie 1 was built to exceed Irving's tremendous speed and quickness, but more so that killer first step of his. In tackling these attributes, the Kyrie 1 boasts pinpoint responsiveness with Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot, 360-degree dynamic traction pattern that wraps up the shoes sidewalls, and additional Hyperfuse construction minimising weight and creating lockdown stability.

Introductory colourways will consists of the red/black joints (above) and the more fierce looking black base boots (below). Each pair will also consists of the new Kyrie Irving logo found on the tongue, said to represent his inner strength and hunger, Irving's hand writing signature on the inside of the tongue, a Sydney Opera House inspired graphic representing Irving's homeland of Australia, and also the acronym 'JBY' underneath the tongue logo, standing for 'Just Be You'

Check the full tech specs right now on Nike Inc, spin the video below for a quick short with some other familiar Nike Pro-model players you might recognise, but keep your eyes peeled for these landing at select Nike destinations, December 23 for the black, and January 10 for the Deceptive Red.
