The Hyperdunk was introduced into the Nike Basketball line-up at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Now, eight years later, Nike are set to release the latest iteration of the Hyperdunk just in time for Rio. Sitting atop a full-length Zoom Air unit with hollowed core, the Hyperdunk 2016 will release in low and high-cut form sporting an engineered mesh upper, as well as an elite Flyknit version (which is the version you are looking at above!) for those looking to splurge on the cutting-edge of tech. The elite features a high-cut Flyknit upper with extended ankle collar, much like the upcoming KD8 Elite, and integrated Flywire support, positioned for optimal lockdown and breathability.
The Hyperdunk 2016 Elite will be available from Nike Basketball stockists globally at the beginning of July, 2016, in both Flyknit and engineered mesh incarnations.
