Nike’s Hyperdunk 2016 comes in both a Flyknit and a fly-not (generally termed non-Flyknit). So far we’ve seen an equal distribution of both on the release schedule, but we think the knit has a little more going for it right now. The sock-based version has a higher cut ankle to provide added stability to the upper and proves a little more versatile. As seen here on the new Hyperdunk 2016 Flyknit ‘Dark Obsidian/Bright Crimson’, you can fold the top down for a bit of the reverse-weave aesthetic around the collar. The red and black upper has been accented with hits of blue Flywire, which make up the lace fastening system, matching the translucent outsole. A black Swoosh sits on the white midsole, which has been extended high on the outside for lateral stability.
