Revered as a tool of The Beautiful Game, Nike's revamped Mercurial is quickly rising to the top of many lists for those who want to flex fancy footwork both on and off the field. The addition of the brooding HTM Mercurial Superfly in January, and the release of Tinker's Superfly 90 in March have left people thirsty for the high-profile sneak, so Nike are here to meet demand with another fuego release in 'Racer Blue'.
The entire upper of this Mercurial is cloaked in Flyknit, with Flywire reinforcement. Down below, the midsole is equipped with the Free 5.0 sole, massively upgraded from its predecessors to incorporate hexagonal loading, and a sleeker outsole. Cosmetically, this Mercurial balances two dark tones and two light, with black and 'Racer Blue' working with the speckled white midsole, and that glorious Swoosh laying claim to the toebox and forefoot.
