As part of their ‘Behind the Design’ series, they’ve linked both models by comparing their impact on innovation. Each sneaker marked a change in Nike’s approach to midsole tooling, which in turn inspired strong followings for each model. And with 2018 being the TN’s 20th anniversary, there’s never been a better time to shine a light on the notorious Air Max Plus design.
In their breakdown of the model, Nike also picture what looks to be an Ultra iteration and a Presto-informed mid-cut. The first VaporMax Plus is dropping on January 25 with more to follow around March 26's Air Max Day.
