Rejoice: Nike are releasing a purpose-made sneaker for medical workers. The Air Zoom Pulse is designed specifically for the needs of nurses, doctors, and anyone else in the medical field.
Medical professionals are on their feet for long hours at a time, so their footwear needs to be supportive, easy wearing, and simple to clean. The Air Zoom Pulse meets all of these needs with its slip-on design, coated synthetic upper, Zoom cushioning, and grippy rubber outsole.
Developed and tested on the ground at Portland’s OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, it looks like the new design will be up to the task. Nike’s ongoing partnership with the hospital is in its 16th year and, on December 7, six colourways of the Air Zoom Pulse will be available, each designed by Doernbecher patients.
