Update: Brace yourself, the Nike Cortez Ultra Moire drops July 14. Have another look up top and then hit up End. to scratch that itch.
Nike have updated their Cortez with Ultra Moire technology. Introduced in 2015, Ultra Moire is customarily reserved for the Air Max line – but its origins date way back to 2006 when Nike+ running technology was burgeoning via a partnership between Nike and Apple. The colab produced 'the first shoe designed to talk to iPod' – the Nike Air Zoom Moire – which donned a heavily perforated upper that served as the blueprint for this Cortez' lightweight design.
Tech-origin stories aside, this Cortez is likely to catch your eye for other reasons. The red, white and blue colourway on this shoe is the one popularised by Forrest Gump, and also ties in well with the slew of 'USA' colourways dropping at the moment.
The Nike Cortez Ultra Moire doesn't have an official release date as yet, but we'll let you know when it shows up on Nike.com.
