With 36 major titles to her name, Serena Williams is undoubtedly one of the greatest athletes in the history of tennis. The 'greatness' of the reigning women's world champion has now been honoured by Nike with a collection that 'embodies the strength, power and beauty' of the tennis icon. On the sneaker side of things, the Greatness Collection features three silohuettes: the NikeCourt Flare, and NikeCourt editions of the Air Max 1 Ultra and the Roshe LD-1000. In symbolism of Williams’ strength and affinity for animal prints, the Collection merges marble and Safari prints, to creature a unique tie-dyed-like appearance on the upper. The Air Max 1 Ultrra and Roshe LD-1000 have been constructed with a semi-transparent no-sew skin, accented with premium black leather detailing, while the NikeCourt Flare is obviously the performance-based silhouette in the collection and is the very same pair she will don on court at the US Open. The Greatness Collection, which also includes a matching bomber jacket, is available right now through select NikeLab accounts and NikeLab online.
