UPDATE: Nike's upcoming Campfire Pack has been spotted in the wild, thanks to a rugged lookbook by 43einhalb. The pack takes on a new life when viewed in context, looking remarkably more impressive with a foot inside. The collection pays tribute to a moment in Nike history, when Tinker Hatfield, Dan Wieden and David Kennedy came up with the idea for the AGC while sitting around a campfire on a camping trip.
To coincide with the release of the Campfire pack, 43einhalb have collaborated with Burlington on an exclusive pair of matching King socks. The 'King Campfire' socks sport the brand's distinctive argyle print design in orange, crimson and maroon. Look for these to release alongside the Campfire Pack, exclusively through 43einhalb.
The upcoming Camping Pack from Nike looks like it could have been crafted by some resourceful outdoorsman entirely from things left lying around the campsite. Both a Huarache and an Air Max 90 have been inspired by the elements of a well prepared camping trip. Featuring leather, rip-stop nylon, flannel, wood grain and a starry night sky motif – it doesn't look like they packed light for this trip. To seal the deal there’s a round patch on the tongue, which depicts a campfire with marshmallows ready to roast. We’re not expecting the Camping Pack will inspire every sneakerhead to pitch a tent, maybe just those who are feeling a bit adventurous.
The Nike Camping Pack hasn’t got a release date just yet, we’ll let you know when we find out.
