Nike’s new React Element 87 has been doing the blog rounds since it was first sighted on the runways of Paris Fashion Week, and now the Swoosh have given us the full breakdown of their latest technical masterpiece. Using pressure-mapping technology and a bit of hands-on trial and error, the sole has been sculpted to flex in sync with the subtle movements of the foot.
The new design is looser and wider than the previously released Epic React, catering more to an active lifestyle application, rather than a pure athletic usage, with a more diverse functionality. This is helped along by the cleverly designed upper, which is made from 100 per cent TPE yarn textiles to create a new experience in fit and support.
Nike’s React Element 87 will be available from June 21 at select stockists, including online from Nike.
