UPDATE: The Big Swoosh has taken Nike's striking sigil to a new level, and the world by storm. We know it's been catching your eye, so we found a plug. Check out these on-foot shots, and then head to Overkill to make them yours.
If you lucked out on the City Sock release, then this pair of monochromatic Nike kicks might just be a worthy alternative to fulfill your laceless desires. Named the 'Big Swoosh' (we wonder why...), this new silhouette fuses pages of Nike Basketball history, combing the sole unit from Sir Charles' Air Max2 CB 94 with a minimalist bootie upper that bares a striking resemblance to Gary Payton's signature model, 'The Glove'. Despite a worthy b-ball legacy, we're going to recommend you err on the side of caution if you're contemplating taking these on court. With nothing but a sock-like-fit to keep your feet locked, we suspect the only ankles you'll be breaking on court in a pair of these will be your own! Though for off-court wear, these are looking mighty fine.
Available right now through selected Swoosh stockists, including Kicks USA.
