After a quiet 2019, Nike’s ground-breaking HyperAdapt looks set for a new era on the hardwood. Team Swoosh’s self-lacing technology has never been used in a performance sneaker, but that’s all about to change, with the brand teasing the release of a new Adapt-infused baller via the Nike Basketball social streams.
The teaser clip shows some of the NBA and WNBA’s top young guns, including Jayson Tatum, Kyle Kuzma, Luka Doncic, and De’Aaron Fox, trying the shoes on for the first time. The footage also suggests that smartphone connectivity will be a big part of the sneaker’s design.
Nike will officially unveil the ‘Future of The Game’ self-lacing baller on January 15 via Twitch, so stay tuned for more info.
