Nike have reignited their five-a-side lineup with the return of the OG LunarGato II. Debuting in 2013 the low-cut street soccer staple was a huge hit thanks to its Lunarlon cushioning system and non-marking court rubber outsole.
‘I’m really happy to see the boot back again. The best moments in my career happened while I was wearing these,’ says Portuguese futsal king Ricardinho. ‘My style on pitch is fast, and these boots are perfect to stop and start. The Lunar sole feels very responsive and helps me while braking and changing pace. My whole foot feels grounded and the stability is great.’
Constructed with flexing ridges, the outsole is designed for agility and underfoot ball control, while the upper combines soft leather in the forefoot, and Hyperfused mesh panels in the midfoot for structure and breathability. Meanwhile, the upgraded vamp enhances touch and also improves durability.
The Nike LunarGato II drops in ‘Anthracite Ember Glow’ on February 18.
