Nike Announce The Winner Of Vote Forward 2017

 program is done and dusted, the results are in and Sean Wotherspoon has won. The campaign called on the public to vote for designs from 12 ‘Revolutionairs’, with the promise that the winning sneaker would go into production the following year. All 12 turned out compelling sneaker mock-ups, but it was Wotherspoon’s / hybrid that took it out.

The design sees the wavy panels of the AM97 built with corduroy, in a colourway inspired by 80s Nike running hats, which is then slammed on an AM1 midsole. The aesthetic draws from an affinity for vintage clothing that lead Wotherspoon to open his Round Two store in LA.

Nike hasn’t given any release details for Wotherspoon’s hybrid just yet, but we’ll update you as soon as they do.
