Nike’s Air Safari is often overlooked in the sneaker history books, overshadowed by the paradigm-shifting visible Air of the Air Max 1. But its influence is undeniable and its iconic ostrich-skin print has appeared on countless silhouettes since. To celebrate the underappreciated piece of Nike history, the Swoosh have joined forces with size? to bring us the ‘Safari’ pack.
The much-loved speckles are first strewn across the Air Max 95, whose ‘ribcage’ side panels alternate between stone and the ‘carrot’ orange that was used on the original 1987 release.
The Air Max 1, as previewed by everythingairmax, is next. It sports the dimply leather in black and grey across its upper, using accents of the OG burnt orange to keep everything on-theme.
