UPDATE: Good news, the Nike Air Zoom Spirimic is just about to drop. The hybrid sneaker, mixing a Spiridon sole with the upper of the Seismic, is available in two initial colourways. A Quickstrike release, the Spirimic will be available at END. and select Nike stockists on November 10.
Just like the Chalapuka of earlier this year, Nike has fused two retro renegades together. The upper of the Seismic, an early 2000s beast, meets the sculpted outsole of the recently re-upped Spiridon to create the Air Zoom Spirimic. It’s almost like an experimental breeding program, taking the DNA from one relic and reinvigorating it in the lab by mixing it with another. The Spirimic is more streamlined than its OG predecessor and features slim reaching supports that sprout from the sole and form the lacing system. Dropping in light bone and a deep navy iteration, the sneaker features nubuck and mesh construction and looks more contemporary prodigy than mutant.
No official word on the Nike Air Zoom Spirimic or a release date as yet. Stay tuned.
