The Pegasus claims the title of Nike’s longest running sneaker series with at least one updated version dropping annually since 1983. It's a lightweight running staple with a history of boasting the latest tech and the Zoom Pegasus 92 is no exception. The latest pony in the stable, a reboot of the 1992 model, features a debossed patterned upper bearing teal accents atop a crisp Zoom Unit. The pattern is actually a satellite image of Rio at night – among the city lights you might just be able to make out a lone guy doing capoeira on the beach. Maybe.
The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 92 in 'Rio' patterned upper drops at Nike retailers on July 1.
