Since the Air Presto revival of 2015, the silhouette has benefitted from a new generation of Nike fans embracing its quirky design. A number of contemporary takes on the 2000 sneaker have emerged recently, with the most recent iteration – the Air Presto Fly – ditching the caged-design for a streamlined look. Nike Golf have taken that concept one step further, using that cageless Air Presto design as the base for the all-new Air Zoom Gimme that reinterprets the silhouette for the rolling greens of the golf course. Ditching the traditional lacing altogether for a boldly-branded strap system, the neoprene sock upper is treated to fused synthetic splash-guard overlays to create an unusual evolution of the beloved Air Presto. The tooling of the sole-unit still echoes the design of the original shoe, but is finished with a jagged outsole that is better equipped to tackle a long day walking around the golf course.
The Nike Air Zoom Gimme will debut in two colourways later this month, stay tuned for more details as we get closer to its release.
