Nike Air VaporMax
In the last few years, we thought Nike Air technology might have reached its ultimate form with the full sole airbag design found on the Air Max models from the last five years and – well – Nike just proved us wrong! The newest evolution of Air technology, the Nike Air VaporMax uses a durable lightweight Air unit that doesn't require additional rubber for protection, making the actual airbags a stand alone outsole. Remaining flexible thanks to its elastic design that allows for more extreme Air geometries, the sneaker removes the traditional midsole design out of the equation, with the VaporMax Air sole unit directly attached underfoot beneath the upper!
Combined with a Flyknit upper, the result is an ultra lightweight runner that maximises energy response, flexibility and spring. The iridescent Swoosh and gradient colouring on the two debut colourways give the sneaker a striking finish that continues the tradition of bold design closely associated with the Air Max line. The last few Air Max models felt quite similar in look and design, its refreshing to finally see Nike give Air technology a new update!
