Earlier in the year we took a look at the new basketball-inspired Nike Air Shibusa silhouette. Its slip-on aesthetic rings true to its Japanese namesake – 'Shibuya' translates as ‘simple, subtle and unobtrusive beauty’. This notion of subtlety seems fitting when considering the shoe’s construction. Laces are replaced with elastic straps, while the upper is made from simple construction and the phylon sole is a crisp white.
Although, if we were being pedantic we're not sure that 'unobtrusive' is the word we'd pick to describe that bright ‘Gym Red’ colour way! That aside, the Air Shibusa is a well-crafted fusion of tech – and its uncomplicated lines are sure to appeal to refined tastes.
