Nike's domination in the basketball category has led to countless iconic basketball moments revolving around Nike boots on the hardwood. While the Air Jordan line usually receives most of the nostalgic retros, this time Penny Hardaway's Air Foamposite One takes us back to 1997, when Penny had to blacken-out the ridges on his 'Royal' Foams to meet the NBA's strict uniform standards, a look that was imitated by Penny fans the world over. Never an official colourway, Nike celebrates one of its unlikely famous moments by finally releasing the Air Penny Sharpie Pack; a double sneaker release that features the blacked out Foam accompanied by the new Air Penny 6 in similar colours. Dropping during the big July 4th day filled with plenty of limited edition Nikes already, its $500 price tag might scare a few off, but for the Penny faithfuls this one is a must have!
