UPDATE: It's time to soothe that itchy trigger finger, today is drop day for the Nike Air More Uptempo 'Olympic'. If you're in the area you can run down to Footpatrol and slip a foot in, otherwise they'll be dropping online shortly so get clicking.
UPDATE: No need for further speculation on Scottie Pippen's Olympic Air More Tempo – we've got the facts! We were just lurking on Nike Basketball's Snapchat account and we saw these beauties in background. Straight away we jumped on Nike SNKRS and, low and behold, the official images and release date was up. If you were guessing that the model would show up on July 20 with the rest of Nike's Olympic offerings, then you'd be right. On D-day you'll be able to cop this retro from the SNKRS section of Nike online, but in the interim you can check out the official images we have here.
Scottie Pippen's bold Air More Uptempo that he wore when claiming gold at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics will be seeing the light of day once again for Rio 2016. Nike rolled out the silhouette last year to celebrate its 20th anniversary, but this 'Olympic' colourway was noticeably absent.
The shoe stays true to its first release, with a dark blue upper slashed with the Uptempo's bold 'Air' branding in crisp white. A crimson red Swoosh on the tongue rounds out the patriotic colour combination on these medal-winning kicks.
The Nike Air More Uptempo 'Olympics' will reportedly be released in June 2016, so stay with SF for updates.
