UPDATE: The Nike Air Max Zero that released earlier this year on Nike's SNKRS app will be seeing a broader release at select Nike retailers this Air Max Day. Check out the photos of the 'original' Zero above and count down the days!
Nike debuted the Air Max Zero during last year's Air Max Day to huge fanfare, but we haven't seen any glimpse of a follow-up for almost a year — until now! Based on Tinker Hatfield's original design sketch for the Air Max project and interpreted with Nike's current tooling and technologies, the Air Max Zero is a testament of the company's legacy of innovation in footwear, and most of all it was something that Swoosh nerds have been waiting to come to life for years. But the biggest criticism of the debut release from diehard fans — because pedants like us always need something to complain about — was that the Zero was released in 'Midnight Navy' and not the yellow in Tinker's original sketch. Well, as we begin to start our march to Air Max Day 2016, Nike answered our prayers and released official images of the next AMZ release donning the original yellow colourway! Check out the gallery above for a closer look at the Air Max Zero 'OG' release, this will definitely be a tough sneaker to get ahold of, better hope your trigger finger is on-point when these drop January 21st exclusively on the SNKRS app.
