The strap-bearing Huarache will always have a place in the rotation of self-respecting sneakerheads. The snub-nosed silhouette, with its internal neoprene bootie and rugged sole, is endearing due to both its unconventional aesthetic and the simple fact that it’s arguably one of the most comfortable sneakers you could ever have the pleasure of pulling on. As with any heritage model – the OG Huarache dropped in 1991 – the Hua has seen its fair share of colourways and treatments. Adding another carefully curated mix to the bountiful quiver, the Swoosh treats the Hua to an almost totally tonal ‘Binary Blue’ variation. The sneaker’s upper gets made up in an azure blue, not dissimilar to ‘Indian Ink’, with each component part adhering to the hue. Adding a complementary change, the chunky Air midsole is anchored in a dusty grey.
The Nike Air Huarache Run SE in 'Binary Blue' is available now from Rock City Kicks and select retailers.
