The Nike Air Footscape has long been considered an on-foot oddity. With its unique side lacing system that wanders in a slow curve from collar to the lateral side of the toe box, the silhouette is instantly intriguing. Add a wildly sculpted Free Motion sole, and you’ve got a sneaker that’s pretty guaranteed to incite strong opinions. But that’s the beauty of the Footscape – and other aesthetically avant-garde silhouettes – they’re not for all palates. And those that love them, really love them.
We got our first look at these purple and taupe Nike Air Footscape Motions last year as part of a trio of colourways with an unconfirmed release date. The good news is that they’ve now made their way to select retailers. Pick up a pair of the unconventional Swooshes at Kith, and others, now.
