New Nike Cortez ‘Shoe Dog’ Pack References Alternative Branding

Shoe Dog Nike Cortez Pack Falcon
Shoe Dog Nike Cortez Pack Dimension Six
Shoe Dog Nike Cortez Pack Skinny Swoosh

A trio of heritage runners is coming bearing branding that, in an alternate universe, could have been Nike’s logo.

Each edition has been remade in a slimmer cut, and utilises a rubber toe bumper like the original 70s spec. One version features an embroidered ‘skinny Swoosh’ originally designed by Carolyn Davidson, the next with ‘Dimension Six’, and the other ‘Peregrine Falcon’ branding – the latter two are alternative logos that company founders and Bill Bowerman considered at the time.

The Nike Cortez was one of the first shoes to bear the ubiquitous Swoosh branding. Released in 1972, it was a revolutionary runner for its time, with durable leather uppers and cushioned foam sole.

Coming in July, this pack will be available from Nike and select retailers for $120. Keep it locked here for more information as it comes.
