Maison Margiela delivers a new vision for their classic Future sneaker with a pair of ‘New Future’ high-tops. PVC-wrapped-everything seems to be the current trend amongst fashion houses, and the French luxury label is following suit.
A ‘laminated’ sneaker that wouldn’t look out of place in Blade Runner, the transparent sneaker reveals a new beast under a familiar silhouette. These high-tops aren’t lacking in details either. Under the clear polyurethane you’ll find light brown side panels, honey padded grip-strap wraps, a black lace keeper with white laces, and a reinforced round toe. A ridged semi-translucent rubber sole grounds the sneaker.
These new Laminated New Future High-Tops are available now at Bergdorf Goodman’s online store and retail for $1,190 USD. For more futuristic sneakers check out our ‘Sneakers That Defined Our Voyage Into Space’ article.
